ICT(Information and communication Technology)

 Information and communications technology (ICT) is an umbrella term that includes any communication device or application including: radio, television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems, and so on, as well as the various services and applications associated with them, such as videoconferencing and distance learning. 

ICT also includes analog technology, such as paper communication, and any mode that transmits communication.ICT is in an emerging  trend and is growing day by day . There is no single, universal definition of ICT this term is generally accepted to interact in the digital world.

Components of ICT

 ICT includes both internet enabled devices (Both wired and wireless) to the cutting edge technologies such as robotics and artificial Intelligence(AI).ICT is sometimes considered as equivalent to the information technology but the range and area of ICT is quite large as compared to ICT.Some Components such as computers and telephones, have existed for decades. Others, such as smartphones, digital TVs and robots, are more recent entries.
ICT impact on Society :- ICT has drastically changed how people work, communicate, learn and live. CT have revolutionized the work and thinking as Artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance work efficiency based on the data which helps in decision making. For example:- computers can make phone calls, listen to your queries and are able to sort out the problems without human intervention.
